Who
enjoys helping people buy their first house as much as their
20th? Who serves on local and state Real Estate boards, conducts
investment seminars, works as a lobbyist in Carson City, and
still finds time to devote herself to a non-profit leadership
organization for youth? Jessica Kincaid, that’s who—and
she does it all with energy and enthusiasm.
Jessica is all about mentoring
and empowering people, and she works mainly through her Real
Estate business. A member of the Kincaid Team of Keller Williams
Realty in Las Vegas, NV, Jessica grew up in Real Estate. “My
mother is huge in the Real Estate industry,” she says.
“She’s been in every aspect of the business for
25 years.”
But Jessica didn’t
head off to college dreaming of a Real Estate career. She
had also been influenced and impressed by her father, a North
Las Vegas police lieutenant. She graduated from the University
of Nevada with a degree in criminal justice and political
science and took the entrance exams to attend law school.
But while helping her mom at the Real Estate office, she changed
her mind and her plans, and set her sights on becoming the
best REALTOR®
she could be. “I’ve had such fabulous mentors
in my life,” she recalls, “and there’s so
much synergy in the Kincaid Team office.”
Keller Williams Realty
is the fourth largest residential Real Estate company in North
America. Its chairman of the board, Gary Keller, has co-authored
two best-selling books with vice-president of research and
development, Dave Jenks. “The Millionaire Real Estate
Agent” and “The Millionaire Real Estate Investor”
have had a great impact on Jessica’s career and the
dynamics she uses to conduct her business. “We like
to quote Dave Jenks,” she says. “‘Smart
money is investing in Real Estate now.’”

Using “The Millionaire
Real Estate Investor” as their guide, Jessica and her
co-workers conduct quarterly seminars to inform and assist
buyers, investors and agents from both the Las Vegas area
and out of state. Each participant gets a free copy of the
book, plus the passion and expertise of the Kincaid Team.
“Real Estate is cyclical,” Jessica declares, “and
this is the perfect time to buy.”
Jessica enjoys helping
people fulfill their Real Estate dreams, whether they’re
first-time home buyers or larger investors. She believes,
“The first purchase is as important as the 20th.”
But to her, it’s investing that carries the perfect
blending. “I love the investment aspect of the business,”
she says. “It combines all the emotions of residential
Real Estate with the facts and figures of the commercial side.”
As
a co-author of The Kincaid Team Web site, Jessica blogs about
upcoming events sponsored by her office and posts informative
articles about wealth building and personal development to
encourage clients and potential clients to make the most of
their lives and resources. “Everyone on the team has
an impact on the Web site content,” she says. “Blogging
about what’s current and helpful keeps us on our toes.”
Visitors to the site can also browse listings and conduct
property searches to see what Jessica and the rest of The
Kincaid Team have available. “If we don’t have
it, we can find it,” Jessica comments.
Jessica is active with the
Greater Las Vegas Association of REALTORS®
(GLVAR), the Nevada Association of REALTORS®
(NVAR), and the Women’s Council of REALTORS®
(WCR), where she sits on the governing board of the Las Vegas
chapter. “The WCR is a great organization,” she
says. “It empowers women to become leaders and businesswomen.”
She also holds her Performance Management designation (PMN)
and from 2005 to 2006, was the youngest member of the NVAR
Legislative Committee.
Jessica got her initial
political experience working as an intern for a senator in
Carson City, NV, in 2003. At the 2005 and 2007 sessions, she
served as a bill tracker for the NVAR, identifying how each
bill relates to her clients and keeping track of every bill
as it passed through various committees and finally to the
floor for voting. “It’s important to know where
a bill is at any given time,” she states. “I had
to keep my finger on everything at once.” For Jessica,
that seems to be a natural talent.
In
addition to her career as a REALTOR®,
Jessica contributes her mentoring and business skills to Issues
Concerning Adolescents of Nevada (ICAN). The non-profit leadership
organization empowers youth to make informed decisions about
issues like substance abuse, relationships and career choices
that will affect their future as leaders of the community.
They conduct leadership camps where young participants learn
personal development techniques and strategies to help them
today and in the years to come. She also participates in the
Winchester Cultural Center’s ‘Star Catchers’
hip-hop dance program for children and adults, and has emceed
several of their shows. And when there’s any time left
over, she loves to relax with a good book.
